About The Wild Rover
Welcome to The Wild Rover, Phnom Penh's premier destination for authentic Irish hospitality. Located on street 178 near the vibrant riverside, we are more than just a place to grab a drink. We are a family-owned gathering spot where locals, expats, and travelers come together. Our mission is to deliver a genuine, unpretentious pub experience. We believe in great drinks, fair prices, and plenty of legendary Irish banter. Whether you come for a perfectly poured pint or live sports, you are family the moment you step inside.
How it Began
Every major city in the world needs a great Irish pub. Yet, for a time, Cambodia's capital city was missing one. After finding the perfect riverside-adjacent location, we spent a month completely renovating the space. On November 2, 2024, The Wild Rover Irish Pub officially opened its doors. Named after the iconic folk song about a traveler far from home, the pub quickly became a lively sanctuary for global rovers and community members alike.
The Expansion
After about six months we decided to rent the building next door, and cut a massive arch – which is now entry to our new lounge bar area complete with fireplace and comfy armchairs.
Signature Red Ale
The Wild Rover Irish Red Ale is an exclusive, premium signature craft beer brewed locally in Cambodia under contract for The Wild Rover. Inspired by the classic Irish cream ale Kilkenny. The classic two-part pour yields an exceptionally silky, creamy texture capped by a dense, velvety head.
Traditional Pub Vibes
The Wild Rover was designed to have a proper "pub feel" and is kitted out with wooden furniture and a proper wooden bar. It is a family friendly pub that can accommodate up to 52 people seating – with extra foldable seats available for busier days!
If you are looking for a proper no-frills pub, with good prices, great drinks and plenty of banter then check us out.
Thank You!
Since opening to the public in November 2024, The Wild Rover has received a tremendous amount of support from both locals and expats in Phnom Penh as well as tourists passing through the capital city. We have met so many fantastic people and we are truly grateful for the support!
Come in and say hello — we're open daily.
